  • Lloyd is home.

I know I've done a lot of talking about my Lloyd. It is finally home instead of in uncertain storage. That sum bitch is a lot lighter and smaller than I imagined. I am undecided on either a small Chev or a big Ponyac. Either way will prolly kill me.
I'll try and get some pics up and you guys that are unfamiliar as to what a Lloyd is can worry for me.
    It's gonna be fun.
    Later Josh

Looks to me like you will need a can opener to get in and out of one of these things.

I'll prolly fit in alright, jaws of life will get me out. Lol The one I have was a infamous street racer around here in the 60's. It had the full running gear and cut down frame out of a 63 Imp SS. I think it was a 327 and a 3 speed standard. It was a legend around these parts. I tracked it down after hearing countless stories about it during my youth. I lucked into it being in my Uncle's yard. I got it for $50 in trade.
I'll try and get some pics of it posted here. It's getting a transverse leaf spring front axle and a ladder bar rear. If I die in it I'll die happy. No shit.
I have a line on a big Pontiac, or maybe I'll put the 81's 360 in it when I upgrade. I doubt the body even weighs 400 pounds. Four hung over guys carried it all the way across my Mom's yard and put it on 4 old tires.
PS I am a big som bitch at 6 foot tall and 280 pounds. I am claustraphobic ta' boot.
PSS The one I have is more of a coupe than the one pictured. But very similar besides. I am very excited about this project.

I've got a lot of body work to do. Practice makes perfect.

Mac, be careful in those short-wheelbase cars, they are a handful. One of my friend's dad died in a Vega Wagon and it looks like a Cadillac Hearse compared to that Lloyd. Make sure you put a good cage in it!!!

Can't wait to see more of it. I think I have only seen that one picture of it in the weeds.

              Keep us posted.

Here is the one in the weeds out at our shop that belongs to a lurker here. I know another floater that wants it, but I can't get the guy to give a price...

Who wants the Lloyd? That one is pretty complete. What did they originally have for an engine? How do you open the trunk? I didn't get a chance to look at the Lloyd much after ripping it from the weeds that hid it so well. I was in a hurry to return the borrowed trailer, and find the come a longs that fell off along the way.
Hey ChevSS, I had a lot of smart azz answers for you when it wouldn't let me post. But the short version is I'm so big because we have a longer growing season down here in the US. Or because I spend all my money on food, liquor and cars.....the rest I just waste. Plus I'm lazy as hell. Lol
Have a good one guys, I have to toast to a dead pet. One of my favorite Pigeons. I'll miss her.
