Hey, Duck. Here's a few thread ideas to maybe help give the pond a shot in the arm. I borrowed some of them from other forums. They would probably carry more weight if you started them, though.

1. Post a pic of you and your car, project, bike, etc...

2. A joke thread... (Although the best ones are off color. Might need some oversight on it)

3. What did you do to your car / project today?

4. Two word game... (Start with two words. Next guy drops 1st word and adds to the 2nd)

5. Post a pic of your latest purchase...

6. Recent track news, event news, swap news, etc...

7. Personal hot rod action vids... (Make sure nobody posts anything illegal, though. Street racing, etc.) I know none of us would EVER be involved with something like that

8. Discount code thread. Rock auto, Summit, Jegs, Speedway, etc...

9. Straight up Roll call... See who responds. Get some two way communication between other floaters, going...

10. Any kind of question thread. Something that requires a response...

11. Random pic thread...

12. Show off your shop thread...

13. Home made tools, parts, etc. thread

Possible events:

Floater cruise night somewhere? Piggyback it on established cruise nights like your raiding Claremore idea, Tuesday cruise, Arnold's cruise, etc. if necessary... He'll call it a "raid"....

Maybe get Floaters to hit the track together... Burger night at Sonic, whatever would attract attention...

Your Comic shop is right on Rt.66. Find a way to use that connection for the groups benefit... (Sparky's Rt.66 cruise night, maybe) You pick the night... Would they let you hold a small swap meet in your parking lot?



Just a few ideas. I saw there were 55 guests online when I popped in here. There is some traffic. Maybe they just need an invite...

Also, I have a small stack of old road cones that could be used for blocking off the benefit car show area if they'll help... About 7 or 8 maybe. I also have one of those dancing tube guys with the fan at the bottom...
