Double-Nickel gone

Sorry to say I did the ultimate no-no last Saturday......sold my '55 150 utility, 2door, 350, t-10 4-speed. It is so bittersweet! I bought it as an investment, and did really well on it, but I miss it, and knew I would....shop seems so empty now without it. But I have so gosh darn much, something has to give.....I'll be working on my stuff left until I am 120 or so!
'41 Stude coupe, '48 Anglia, '52 Henry J, '55 Merc. Montclair 2-door, not to mention 3 more that are runners! I just had to do something drastic to get me going on my '41 Stude. But I miss it! Gonna try and get rid of my sorrow by going to a swap meet tomorrow!

Is there any 48 or close anglias that could be streetable for sale around here?

Double-nickel gone!

Duck...you know me and pictures....not very good at it-I'll try and do better.
My wife did come out into my shop though the other day......she NEVER does that! She'll come to the doors, but for some strange reason, talks to me from just outside the open doors....as if my shop were poison! But she did come in that day...admired the fact that I actually spent some time cleaning it up, moving things around. Then she began pickin' at me about my garage wall art! -and I quickly ushered her out! She told me it was like my own personal Fantasy room......hated to always have all that competition-but was certainly up for the challenge! Needless to say, the shop lights were out for the rest of that day!
So, what about the rest of the pond? Show us pictures of your shops....what garage art drapes your walls.....sits in our corners awaiting use or redo.....I really never thought of it before.....but "Hell Ya".......my shop is my fantasy room, a
place I gravitate to- even for a small portion of the day....to live and breathe my fantasies!

The pictures of your shop from back in the day were mind blowing. Cars, tools and parts everywhere.

My shop is a little thrashed from the Bondo Pig Reserection, but I am going to clean it up pretty good for the Duck Picnic and will get some pics of it then.

I need to sheet rock my shop so I can hang some art. I have a huge pile of flags, banners and choice pictures to put out there, but they ust sit in the floor of the boat....another thing I need to mess with.

Just last night I got back onto the '41 Stude coupe-BAD ATTISTUDE. Cut out the tool tray area in the trunk and cut and formed new sheet metal to replace it-rust! THen I formed metal to recreate the u shape channel around the lower trunk where the lid mates. Very fun to get back into the shop and on the Stude....Still miss the '55 though....a real bittersweet sale. It would be great to see the PUTTY PIG pull into my driveway for a visit -Duck. I have lots of "Fine Nectar" to help formulate Resto projects......just can't work work in the shop without my Coors in bottles! I could throw down many a bottle afore the "Attistude" is brought back to life~

I don't think the Pig would ever make it that far. It might jump off the trailer once we leave Oklahaoma.


Next year Dad and I are going to hit B-ville for Speedweek. How far away are you from the flats? Maybe we could hook up then?

Bout a grandy miles away.......I'd like to go to that too.....when would it be?
Maybe I'll drive my "Bad Attistude!" Yup, I thought bout that all by my lonesome! You drive your "Pig" to there...I'll drive mine! In fact...get everyone on the site to meet their...it will be called the "Duck Crap ??union tour!" (Can't have a reunion tour, till ya get a union tour under your belt!)

Well I won't be driving squat out there...besides a rental car from the airport. I have never been and just want to lay on the salt and soak up as much land speed racing as I can. Don't know if I will ever have a chance to go again, so I want to make the best of this trip.


But would love to meet you and the car would be cool to. I will find out the details on it. We haven't done anything but talk about this trip since a few years ago. I should know more by the first of the year.
