  • More Gasser parts acquired, Eelco & Ansen

I picked up a couple more pieces for the gasser build, I’m trying to keep it as period correct as possible so I’m pretty excited to get my hands on this stuff. The Eelco carb linkage is NOS but while it may not be super period correct, it’s closer than new parts from speedway. The Ansen shatterproof bell housing is specifically for tri fives so I knew I had to have it even thought it’s a chunk of steel at 47 lbs. Would be cool if there was a way to date it. Let me know what ya think! IMG_5211.jpg IMG_5210.jpg IMG_5212.jpg IMG_5208.jpg IMG_5209.jpg

I had an Ansen scattershield in a BBC, late 60s. Liked it because could service clutch without removing bellhousing. Didja get the bottom piece with it?

No bottom plate, the guy didn’t have it. I’ve been watching eBay to see if I can find one.

I have used those Ansen scattersheilds in several cars over the years they are not really legal for nhra however they are far better than a stocker but if you aren’t really beating on it and nowadays billet steel flywheels are easily obtained it will be fine I do like them and are a nicely made part nice finds
