Well, I figure I better let the cat out of the bag...
I have a project I have had for a little over a year that got side tracked because of all the trouble I have had with the Crabmobile.
I bought a 1975 Harley Ironhead Sportster from a buddy that got a deal on it and passed it on to me. It was in a fire, so the wires and oil lines were melted and it took on some water and the pistons were locked up and the heads were rusty. I got it all apart and had the cylinders honed an the heads bead blasted and a valve job. I need to clean everything up and start putting it back together. It is a hard-tail with fat bob tanks and a tombstone tail light and taller bars.
I bought this mainly to have a little fun with then sell or trade. I guess it depends on how much fun I have with it. :-)

I'll probably try to use what I already have. We are going to chop it a little lower though.

They are definately fun bikes. I had a 79 sporty that the motor had been built by phoenix racing out of augusta and it had a "big twin" back end on it, tire so big it rubbed the chain. It was only a 4 speed but it would pull a wheelie in 4th gear! It was a blast til stuff started going wrong, then i found out what all of the other bikers and harley shop guys were talking about when they said H-D stands for hundred dollars!LOL Everything i had to buy to keep it running was a hundred dollars, got tired of it and sold it before too much of that....Have fun crab, they are cool when they're workin right!

I got a lot more done this weekend. I installed the pistons, cylinders and heads, rebuilt the carb and cleaned and polished a bunch of parts.
