I know some of you will remember when I did this about 2.5 yrs ago and Fast you are describing exactly what I felt. Any time I lit a smoke I had to close my eyes and turn my head a bit, to look at a computer monitor I had to have sunglass's on. All I did to help get it along was wet t-bags wrapped in paper towel and a visien (sp) for dry eyes.

after getting flash myself, if I ever lend out my welder to someone I know doesn't have a mask I make them take mine.

Ditto on the Doc flash blindness can be tempoary or be permanant, I have an uncle who has a permanent sporadic blink from it.

Don't waste your time at a doctor take two normal iced tea bags soak em in water for a minute then put em on your closed eyes. Now lay down and go to sleep when you wake up your eyes will feel a million times better. I've had flash burn probably 10 times. This is a trick I learned a longtime ago that has never failed me. Just give the tea time to work and you'll be fine.

Never heard a guy admit to getting teabagged!LOL Burnt mine a couple of times always swore i'd never make that mistake again, hindsight... anyway woke up at 2 in the morning wife hauled me to emergency room, they put some stuff in my eyes and covered them with patches and sent me home, went back to bed and was fine later the next day....
