Default Rmrw 2.0

Rocky Mountain Race Week 2.0 started off yesterday at TRP. I went out and saw a bunch of cool cars and a few Floaters and some who haven't been on the site in years.
They will wrap up back in Tulsa on Thursday. I'm going to see if I can cut out of work a little early to head back out to take a few more pics.

Here are the pictures I did take:

Enjoy,

I took off work a little early and went back out Thursday.
Our friend Dennis Taylor ran a 7.73 in his street driven Nova and his daughter Alex ran in the 8.30's in her street driven Camaro.

Yes, It is a similar format to Hot Rod Drag Week, which was cancelled this year. Rocky Mountain Race Week is usually earlier in the year and runs at tracks around the Colorado area.
When HRDW was cancelled, the RMRW promoters lined up Tulsa, Topeka, Noble, Great Bend and back to Tulsa. The cars have to turn in their fastest pass and then drive to the next track and do it again. It is a real test of man (or woman) and machine. They have to take everything they need with them, so they can haul a trailer which is limited to a certain size.

I ended up twisting the splines off the tip of the axle, I didnít realize it but the sure grip unit I have requires about 1Ē longer axle on the drivers side than the standard 8 3/4 A-body axle shaft.
It did well, I was planning on tuning the carbs & working on my launch thru the week with the hopes to get it to a 11.99 but that was cut short the 3rd day with the axle issue. I ended up running a best of 12.49 @ 111mph. It was a fun event & I plan on doing it again next year.
