Mark, are you looking in the edit signature area in the user cp? If so and it isn't there, that means that the admin has not turned on this option for all users....that one would be up to Duck.

I haven't tried to use a sig image yet but I think you have to have image hosted somewhere to provide an URL for it then you place that URL within IMG tags in the signature box...that is how they typically work Mark...
You can type in text and it will automatically appear...but to have a banner you must use the [IMG] tags...

In order to post an image in a post instead of an attachment, you have to use image tags...like this [i m g] then the file url here [/ i m g]
Take the spaces out though....then the image should show up wherever it is in the message that you put the tags...The NRA says, 'Guns don't kill people - people kill people.' That may be true, but I think the gun helps. You're not going to kill many people by standing around shouting 'bang!'.

This is from the FAQ section:
For the most part, your posts will contain plain text, but on occasions, you may want to emphasize certain words or phrases by making them (for example) bold or italic.
Depending on the rules of the forum, you may use HTML code to produce these effects. However, more often than not, the administrator will have disabled HTML code, and opted instead to use vB Code: a special set of tags which you can use to produce the most popular text-effects. vB code has the advantage that it is very simple to use, and is immune to malicious javascripts and page layout disruption.
You may also find that the administrator has enabled smilies, which allow you to use small icons to convey emotion, and the [img] code, which allows you to add pictures to your message.
For more information about vB code, click here.
Also, instead of using the quick reply box, you can use the Post Reply button, and it will give you more options for your post. The NRA says, 'Guns don't kill people - people kill people.' That may be true, but I think the gun helps. You're not going to kill many people by standing around shouting 'bang!'.

Yea I found out the hard way that you cant have IMG tags in the sig, which sucks. I think there is an option to which you can make it where the First post of the thread shows the signature while the rest of the posts made by the same person on the same thread doesnt show the sig.Originally posted by EdwardTeach View PostDC you know you have them turned off???...
Ive seen it on other forums.Mist Green 1970 SS 396 Chevelle

They probably won't be turned on. So far Pyro is the only one that has used it, and I think it would be better to remain text.
Dial up users get sick of waiting for stuff to load due to sig's with graphics.
You should be able to personalize you posts with an avatar, text sig and your profile.

I just removed the option for Mods so that way everyone is equal. Cool?
After we get this place running the way we want we can work on turning things on or off to make sure everyone has a good Pond floatin' experience. When that will happen.....??? I am slow. And I am having problems making a graphic for the banner at the top. Hope Teach can come out and help me with it soon.

Eh, I prefer the text anyway, easier to change....
