Yeah, I did too. This guy did a nice and clean job, and Thursday I'm running the car to a muffler shop in Checotah, and he'll do the down pipe from the manifold to join the tubes coming off the side pipes. Should be less than an hours work for someone who does this stuff regularly, and should look nice and clean as well.

I'm going to add some more pictures of the stuff that's having to be done to make this exhaust fit.

The first picture is of a small boss that was on the side of the manifold that needed to be ground down to clear a body brace.

The second picture shows the 11/16" outer size nuts (3/8" thread drilled out) to use as spacers to give just a bit of additional clearance between the left motor mount and block. They are about 3/8" thick.

The 3rd and 4th pictures show just how much of a cluster#$$# created when he ran the exhaust. You can also see the location of the new manifolds and how they are ran into the correct locations. I still cannot believe how goofy this exhaust was ran and up through the hood as well.

Here are some pictures of the hood carnage - that's aluminum type heat tape around the openings. And, the other picture shows the right manifold and how it was run, but doesn't show really clearly the left side, but some of it is there.

Got the tires and wheels all sorted out on this thing today, and pretty tickled with the results overall. Kind of a subtle change, but a bold look just the same. At least in my opinion... and with the typical rodeo that often occurs when something simple is supposed to happen, but doesn't.....

The two wheels I picked up matched each other perfectly - but the two that were on the rear of the Stude were a bit different colored, so I wanted to put the two wheels that started out on the rear onto the right side of the vehicle, and the two new wheels on the left side. What's sad is it makes me wonder just how many of these old wheels we've all thrown out over the years because of their lack of value. I found two wheels at Dino's in Tulsa, and wound up giving just over $140 for the pair. I couldn't believe it, but worth it in the end.

Swapping RR tire turned into a 2 hour nightmare as for some reason it just wouldn't seal enough to take air and fought and fought and fought. Wound up going to the ONLY place in this two stoplight town open after noon on Saturday - Love's - and borrowed an extra hand and their Cheetah tank to air it up. Finally got that handled, and then moved onto the front wheels and adapters.

The adapters came off eBay ($33.47 for a pair, and came with 20 lug nuts, all delivered), and of course, they were their own little, simple rodeo. The studs on the adapters were metric which meant all new lug nuts, but the fun part was the lug nuts that were included in a small bag to attach the adapter to the hub itself. Went to mount them, and put it on the studs and tightened down 4 of the nuts and the last one just spun. Got to looking and had - in their sealed package - 9 - 7/16x20 nuts and 1 - 14x1.5 nut - and the 14x1.5 was just spinning on the stud. So, got as far as I could and ran to the parts store to get that one nut.

Sold a 99 S10 truck to a buddy to use as a mud truck body (he rolled his regular one) and kept the two nice rear tires off of it and stuck them on the front of this Stude. Has 235/75/15s rear and 205/75/15s front. I think in the end, the whole crazy ordeal was worth the change in the look.

Anyway, tell me what you think.
