Made a swap trade deal on both W/O anything BUT the Corvette specific original parts. So I am keeping the BBC/T400 + will STILL have everything else to swap off if anyone is interested. Swapping Thursday after I deliver the Vettes 60 mi's away and pick up this driver, A 67 GTO clone done a LONG time ago. First 5 numbers show 23517 on the VIN and that is a Lemans grille. Claimed he had no idea.
swap deal slammed down in who got what as soon as he saw I was not an unknowing guppy . He WANTS those Vettes. I am not sure how to handle the clone part but it is a nice Lemans Custom S driver w factory bucket seat interior in white anyway. Weird thing is that it is powered by a STRONG built SBC (can't seem to get away from those things, heh heh. Anyone know if or how a 255 60 15 tire will fit under the back of this thing on a 4.5 back spaced wheel? How a decent GTO message board? The 2 I have looked at are lame at best w few posts and less answers.Last edited by dgas : 08-01-2010 at 09:06 AM. |

I keep asking him if he wants to back out and that once the BBC is pulled back out there is no turning back and he keeps saying not to worry-go figure. I AM making sure his title matches the car first tho. The pics look a LOT better than it really is. I could take surfing lessons on this car and the paint is unevenly laid on, its kind of blotchy. But it DO shine. heh heh, Kind of dated, But I like how tall it stands.

D-gas, I think you can fit a 275 R 60 on those on a 4.5 backspace wheel. (If they're like a Chevelle of the same year.
My Boss has restored 3 of those if you'd like to ask him some questions. Are you a member of the Hamb? He goes by Goat Boy, I think? PS I wouldn't go around any GTO forums with a small block in the car. Probably have to hear a lot of lame shit. But if you like to piss people off (like I do), I say go for it. ![]()

I left the HAMB behind a few years ago. I would not say anything about the SBC , Poncho guys can get as anal as mopar guys about that kind of thing. But I plan on a Poncho transplant OR if I get a wild hair my BBC , at least that would walk the walk
Check w your boss on the tire size I can go either way The guy only cares about two new tires not sizes(Its all I told him the vette had, figuring on keeping either set or 255 or 275 60 15's)Last edited by dgas : 08-02-2010 at 06:23 AM. |

My Boss says the good GTO site is "The Ultimate GTO site .com" He wasn't sure about the tire size.
